By chance of a scientific experiment, the dead can now communicate with the living through a terminal known as the Ethernal. David Novack, a former criminal investigation detective haunted by his wife’s death, works in a new unit called the Talkers, responsible for taking post-mortem statements from victims. What begins as a routine case will shatter his certainties, forcing him to confront his past and exposing his darkest secrets.
Our work
We gave the Etherna device a visual upgrade by adding LED animations and a custom scanning sequence, ensuring it feels real and fully functional on screen. We also handled a range of subtle and not so subtle shots, from freezing the breathing movements of actors playing dead characters to integrating massive video walls into building exteriors. In total, 115 VFX shots were delivered over a two month production period.
